Okta Password Management



The following information will guide you through password resets, forgotten passwords, and unlocking your account.  If you have any questions, please reach out to help@catapultlearning.com

Change Okta Password:


Users will be required to change their Okta password every 180 days.  You can change it more often, but it must be at least 2 days between password changes for security.  You will be notified prior to the date when you need to change your password.

To change your password:

1. From the Okta Portal Home page, https://catapult.okta.com/

2.  Click on the arrow next to your name and select Settings



3.  In the Change Password window

                A.  Type in your current password

                B.  Type in your new password

                C.  Repeat typing in your new password

                D.  Select Change Password




Okta Forgot Password:


Click Need help signing in > Forgot Password? From the Okta login page  https://catapult.okta.com/


You have 3 options to reset your account but to use the SMS or Voice call, you need to be sure to add your phone information into Okta.  If you choose email, an email with a reset link will be sent to both your Catapult Learning email and your personal email.  Personal emails are pulled directly from UltiPro.



 Okta Unlock Account:


Note:  Your Okta account will lock after 5 incorrect password attempts.


Click Need help signing in > Unlock Account from the Okta login page  https://catapult.okta.com/


Enter your email and click an option to unlock your account.  Note, you must have the SMS or Voice Call option set up in Okta to use.  An email will be sent to both your Catapult Learning email and personal alternative email listed in UltiPro.  Note, the link to unlock your account is only active for one hour.


 




Enter your challenge question and return to the sign in page.  Unlocking your account does NOT change your password. If needed, use the Reset password link to change your password for Okta.

Okta Settings:


To confirm you are set for SMS or Voice Call if you need to reset your password or unlock your account, go to Seetings, Edit Profile, and make sure your Forgotten Password Question, Text Message and Voice Call are all set.
